Lake Bled had always been one of our top places to go visit for the longest time and so we were so glad when everything aligned for us to go and visit Slovenia. Slovenia has probably been long one of the unassuming European countries to visit - it does border the more famous Italy, Austria and Croatia however don't underestimate what Slovenia has to offer - I'd say it's a real gem until everyone else stumbles upon it!
Lisbon, the sunny capital of Portugal was one of our first summer long weekend city breaks in Europe and remains one of our favourites. There's plenty of sun, culture, food & sightseeing to keep any groups of people busy in this charming city. Read on to see what else we got up to!
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia and the often mispronounced city (correctly pronounced "Lyoob-lyah-nah") is a city small enough to really see and explore on foot but large enough for it to keep all who visit occupied and interested a weekend break, or as the start of a longer weekend! Read on to see what we got up to in the city (and also a day trip to Skocjan caves!)
